Why We Built This Site
Texas court information is not held in one universal docket database. re:SearchTX provides a statewide way to search participating courts, while the Office of Court Administration and the courts publish rules and administrative resources. The clerk or court handling a case maintains its official docket and filings. A statewide index can help locate a case, but a complete docket sheet, a particular filing, or a certified copy may still need to come from the responsible local office. Our guides explain that distinction and direct visitors to the relevant one of Texas's 254 county resources.
What You Will Find Here

- Hearings: ways to find the court schedule and verify a date with the court
- Case lookup: how to use the statewide docket search and follow up locally
- Copies and filings: where to ask about court case records and certified copies
- Court levels: an overview of Texas court structure and where different cases are heard
- County links: the Browse Counties index for all 254 county docket sites
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site, separate from Texas courts, clerks, and government agencies. Our role is limited to explaining routes to public resources. We do not:
- retrieve or alter an official docket, case file, or hearing date
- remove, seal, or revise a court case record
- provide certified copies of court documents
- offer legal advice about a particular case or deadline
- promise that every listed phone number, fee, or procedure is current
The clerk or court responsible for the case is the source for its official docket and certified copies. This site can help identify the right office, but it cannot issue those records.
Search Partners
Some pages contain search tools operated by outside providers. They control their services, prices, and results. If a visitor follows one of our links and signs up for a paid service, we may receive a referral payment. We do not set the provider's charges or determine what its search returns.
